Background of CCPI

The Conference of Catholic Psychologists of India (CCPI) brings the healing love of Jesus Christ to those seeking psychological help and support. We offer psychological information and connect individuals with life members of CCPI across Indian states, faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Initiated by the Salesian Psychological Association (SPA) in 2000, Catholic psychologists began annual thematic conferences. CCPI was officially formed in 2007 and has since continued this tradition.

Organizational Structure

CCPI has nearly 300 members including Priests, Brothers, Sisters, and Lay professionals trained in psychological sciences. They collaborate nationwide for training, services, and research. An Executive Council with a President, Secretary cum Treasurer, and Executive Member governs the organization on a 3-year term. Eighteen conferences have been conducted to date.
